The paintings you are about to see were inspired by the wonderful artwork of the Australian Aborigines. These special and ancient people have a unique way of looking at the land, and of singing the stories that create their land. They own these stories and the land upon which they live and draw their being. (Though, they would say, the land owns them.)

I have reached for my own stories about the places where I live and have my being. I have traced my own myths using this special language of motif and design. And I owe more than I can ever say to the painters of Aboriginal Australia who have given me the gift of my own heart.
